Cars are invited. Nominations are read. Places are few.
The Selection Committee meets in private; the field is composed deliberately, one car at a time.
Invitations are extended to a small number of collectors, and to the custodians of cars chosen for the field. The mechanism is straightforward - the rhythm, deliberately unhurried. A short note, in your own hand, is preferred to a long form.
